Clinical rotations are a critical component of nurse practitioner education, offering students vital hands-on experience that bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world practice. However, for many aspiring nurse practitioners (NPs), securing suitable clinical placements can be a daunting challenge. With increasing competition and limited availability, finding the right preceptor and hospital willing to accept student rotations often feels like searching for a needle in a haystack. Below you will find a list of hospitals that provide preceptors for NP students, or at least help with a portion of the process.
By fostering these partnerships, both students and the healthcare system benefit—students gain invaluable practical skills, while healthcare facilities cultivate the next generation of skilled professionals ready to meet today’s clinical demands. Similar to my list of NP programs that provide preceptors, this list is regularly updated with hospitals that provide access to clinical placement.
